Keto Instant Pot recipes

The Instant Pot is the fast counterpart to the slow cooker, and it's just as keto-friendly. It turns tough, cheap cuts tender in a fraction of the time, builds deep broths in minutes, and pulls double duty as a sauté pan and a pressure cooker in one pot. Skip the starches, lean on low-carb vegetables and sugar-free sauces, and you've got dinner on a weeknight with barely any cleanup.
This is a growing collection of pressure-cooker recipes that stay well under a normal daily carb ceiling.
What makes a pressure cooker recipe keto-friendly
The same two swaps that work for any keto cooking carry over. Leave out the starch — no potatoes, rice, or flour — and lean on low-carb stand-ins, with a pinch of xanthan gum to thicken a sauce at the end. Cut the sugar by reaching for sugar-free salsa, barbecue sauce, and coconut aminos in place of their sweetened versions. The hidden carbs guide covers where it usually creeps in.
Two pressure-cooker habits are worth knowing: use the sauté function to brown meat first for deeper flavor, and add quick-cooking vegetables (broccoli, zucchini noodles) at the very end so they don't turn to mush under pressure.
The recipes
- Keto Instant Pot salsa chicken — three-ingredient shredded chicken, about 4g net carbs.
- Keto Instant Pot carnitas — crispy citrus pork for lettuce tacos, about 2g net carbs.
- Keto Instant Pot beef and broccoli — takeout-style in a sugar-free sauce, about 6g net carbs.
- Keto Instant Pot chicken soup — with zucchini noodles, about 5g net carbs.
- Keto Instant Pot ribs — fall-off-the-bone with a sugar-free glaze, about 3g net carbs.
Several of these are best over cauliflower rice, which soaks up the sauce without the carbs. For the hands-off counterpart, see the keto slow cooker recipes.
Counting them without the math
The macros on any recipe are an estimate; your real portions are what count. Copper Keto Companion runs the same net-carb math on what you actually plated — you say "salsa chicken bowl with cheese and avocado," and it logs the net carbs against your day. That's the difference between a recipe that looks keto and a day that stays under your ceiling. See the Copper Keto Companion page.
