Husband Companion — Support
Thanks for using Husband Companion. There is no account and no sign-in here — what you save lives on your iPhone and in your own private iCloud, so most of what follows happens right inside the app. If something isn't covered, email us.

Email support
We aim to respond within two business days. Because there is no account and we hold none of your data, we can't look anything up on our end — so tell us what you tapped, what you expected, and what happened instead. If you can, attach a diagnostics file: tap the gear at the top right of the conversation → Share diagnostics. It is a plain log of app event names, counts, and memory figures — no conversation text and no names.
Common questions
The app isn't replying to me
Replies need two things: an iPhone with Apple Intelligence turned on, and a network connection. The replies are generated by the AI built into iOS, on Apple's Private Cloud Compute — so with either one missing, the app shows a card telling you so and can't answer until it's back.
What you typed is not lost. The app saves it either way, so you can keep adding moments on a plane or in a dead zone and read the replies once you have signal again. If you're online and Apple Intelligence is on and it still won't reply, close the app, reopen it, and try one short message; if that fails, send us diagnostics.
To check Apple Intelligence: open iOS Settings → Apple Intelligence & Siri and make sure it is turned on. Apple decides which devices, regions, and languages support it.
My reminders aren't arriving
Reminders are one thing only: a heads-up at 9 AM the day beforeeach date or birthday you've saved. Turn them on with the Day-before reminders toggle in Settings — the gear at the top right of the conversation.
If the toggle won't stay on, iOS notifications are off for the app. A row appears that takes you straight to iOS's settings for it; turn Allow Notifications on there and come back.
Two timing details that look like bugs but aren't. If you save a date after 9 AM on the day before it, the heads-up comes shortly after you close the app rather than at 9. And a date saved for today gets no reminder at all — the day before has already passed. There are no other reminder timings in this build.
How do I fix or delete something the app saved wrong?
Just tell it, in the conversation. For a moment, ask the app to delete it and then save it again the way you meant it. For a person or a date, describe the change and it updates in place — "her birthday is the 14th, not the 13th." There is no editing screen; you correct the same way you save.
What exactly does deleting remove?
Settings has two, and both need your own tap to confirm:
- Erase conversationclears the messages only. The moments, people, dates, and commitments you've saved all survive.
- Delete everything… removes all of it from the phone and, as iCloud sync finishes, from your iCloud. The app then looks like a fresh install.
We can't do either one for you, and we can't undo them — we operate no server for this app and never receive your data. There is no copy on our side to restore from.
I got a new iPhone — is my history there?
If you were signed in to the same iCloud account on both, yes. Your data syncs through your own private iCloud, so signing in to that same account on the new phone and opening the app brings it over. Give sync a few minutes on a good connection the first time.
The same is true of a second device on that iCloud account. What doesn't exist: a web version, a desktop version, and any way to share your conversation with your spouse or anyone else. It is one man's private record.
Search isn't finding things I know I saved
Your moments and conversation are filed in your iPhone's own search index, so you can pull them up from Spotlight. If a second device shows nothing in search, or you've just restored your phone, open Settings and tap Rebuild search index. That re-files everything. The index never leaves your device.
What does the strip above the chat mean?
Those are the eight weekly pillars. One lights up when something you saved during that calendar week showed that behavior. It is not a score and not a checklist — nothing is failing when a pillar is dark, and there is no target to hit. Tap What's behind the pillars in Settings to read the research each one draws on, with citations.
How do I use the widget?
There is one small At a glance widget. Add it the normal iOS way — press and hold on your home screen, tap the +, and search for Husband. It shows the next date you've saved with a countdown, and how many commitments are open.
Can I talk to it instead of typing?
Yes. Tap the mic next to the text box and speak. The words are added to whatever is already in the box, and you still tap send — so you can dictate, read it over, fix a word, then send. You can also use Siri: "Log a moment in Husband" and "What are my commitments in Husband."
How do I cancel or get a refund?
Nothing is for sale in this build. If a subscription ever applies, Apple handles the billing — so cancelling and refunds happen in iOS Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions, or at reportaproblem.apple.com (opens in a new tab), never inside the app. If you've paid before and something isn't unlocked, tap Restore purchases— it's in Settings under Subscription, and on the paywall — while signed in to the Apple Account you bought with.
Can I export my data, or get it back if I lose my phone?
There is no export file in this build. Your data is already in your possession — on your iPhone and in your own iCloud — and you can ask the app in conversation to read back anything it has saved. If your iPhone is lost and you were signed in to iCloud, signing in to that account on a new iPhone restores it. If you weren't, it's gone; there is no copy anywhere else, including with us.
Who can see what I write in here?
Only you. It stays on your iPhone and in your own private iCloud — there is no developer server, so we cannot see, recover, or delete it, and it is never sent to any third-party AI provider. The full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
